Zubair accepts instructions from solicitors and directly from members of the public under the public access scheme, also known as direct access.

Where is case is suitable for the direct access scheme, clients can expect a high quality service, regular communication, and realistic advice on prospects of success & solutions to problems. All work is done on a fixed fee basis, agreed in advance. There will be no surprise legal bills.

The three stages of direct access

Initial consultation - This lasts up to 7 minutes, and is free of charge. I may request documents from you. This is my opportunity to assess whether your case is suitable for the direct access scheme, and your opportunity to assess whether you’d like to work with me.
Client care letter and fees: A client care letter sent for signature, and an invoice for agreed fees is sent. Once the client care letter is signed and the fees are settled, I am engaged.
We arrange a remote conference. The conference usually lasts 45 minutes, and is included in the agreed fee. This is best done before you have to submit your witness statement or position statement (if any). This allows you to consider my advice before you file your statement/ position statement with the court.
If a further conference is required, this can be arranged, subject to availability, for a further agreed fee.
I represent you at your hearing. By this stage, we should already be on the same page. I should have a clear understanding of your case, and you should have a clear understanding of my advice.
After the hearing, I’ll send you an attendance note. If I feel there are immediate steps you must take, I will advise you in writing.
